What Can I Do to Get Elected?

All professing believers believe in election because the Bible clearly teaches it. False Doctrine and 90% of "Christianity" today teaches God looks through the corridors of time and foreknows those who are righteous and wise enough to believe in Jesus and on the basis of their virtuous belief.....God becomes their debtor and elects them to salvation.

The Bible teaches that one is elected not because they are more righteous than "lessor mortals" who are not wise enough to believe, but because of God's grace.

You see the Bible plainly teaches even our faith is a gift from God.

Eph 2:8 "for it is by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God."

If that is not enough, how about
Phil 1:29 "For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake."

Yet another....
Acts 13:48 "And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed"

Well.... one more
Heb 12:2 "looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith."

Let us humble ourselves and except the the pride-withering doctrine of election as the Bible presents it and not as our prideful flesh wishes it was.

I grew up with the "corridors of time" thinking. One issue with that is this; if God "fashions the hearts of all" (Ps 33:15), then isn't how He sees us reacting (down the corridors) simply how he made us to react?

The other main problem is that the corridors theory puts salvation in the hands of men once again. Essentially, salvation is given to those deemed good enough. That's blatantly opposed to God's take on things.
